Go on an unforgettable 8-day journey through Rwanda, combining helicopter transfers, gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris, and cultural tours in one luxury adventure experience.
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a Thousand Hills that Rwanda is known for. You will then drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel des Milles Collines (Mid-range)(BB).
Today, after your relaxed morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport, where you will connect with your flight to Akagera National Park. On arrival at the park, we shall proceed to our accommodation after a short game drive and check in for lunch. We will order lunch and later head for a boat trip on Lake Ihema to watch Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores and meet the buffaloes and elephants wallowing by the water banks. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and evening stay at Akagera Game Lodge (Mid-range) (FB).
After an early morning breakfast at 6:00 am, we leave for an early morning game drive in Akagera National Park to catch up with late hunters and early risers. We will be searching for the big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and recently re-introduced Lions and Rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a number of bird species, with over 500 species, making it a birding paradise. You will have a picnic lunch. After lunch, proceed with your game drive for more wildlife sightings. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and evening stay at Akagera Game Lodge (Mid-range) (FB).
Early morning, enjoy your buffet breakfast and check out of the hotel before heading for your flight to Nyungwe, which is roughly an hour. You will reach Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon and spend the afternoon at leisure at the lodge at Mantis Kivu Marina Bay (Mid-range) (FB).
Today, after your early morning cup of African coffee, be transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour upon finding the chimpanzees. After the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70-meter suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest. Later, return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay at Mantis Kivu Marina Bay (Mid-range) (FB).
Wake up and have breakfast, and later transfer for your flight to Musanze. You will arrive in Musanze, roughly 45 minutes, and later proceed to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, enjoy some leisure time. Dinner and overnight stay at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge (Mid-range luxury).
Early morning, enjoy a cup of coffee before preparing for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters. Afterward, head for trekking. Once you meet the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life while taking pictures. The gorilla tracking experience may take half or a full day depending on the movements of these primates. After the experience, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, relax and enjoy leisure time at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge (Mid-range).
After breakfast, depending on your flight time, drive to Kigali for a brief market visit and an art gallery visit for shopping before being transferred to the airport to catch your flight. End of service!
